Palm House Exhibition

All ATASDA members are invited to create new and original artworks for ATASDA’s Palm House Exhibition titled:  ‘The Space IN Between’.

This biennial exhibition will be held at the Palm House Gallery, Lady Macquaries Rd, The Royal Botanic Garden, SYDNEY NSW. The dates of the exhibition are: Tuesday 22 May - Friday 1 June 2018

Sydney’s Vivid Light Festival serendipitously coincides with the exhibition and will attract many visitors to the exhibition.

Be enthused and inspired by the title and explore its subtleties - think of colour, reflections, and the play of light on surfaces. Investigate unusual materials, in combination with traditional techniques such as: dyeing, felting, weaving, machine embroidery, surface embellishment, discharge, cloth construction, knitting, hand embroidery and printing, etc.

“The Space IN Between”  artworks should:

*      Represent ATASDA’s best in concept and materials (for sale or not).

*       Respond to the theme ‘The Space IN Between exploring the artists notion of its definition.

*      Be 2D or 3D (dimensional) works.

*      If a wall or screen hung artwork to have appropriate equipment for hanging.

*      Be clearly labelled with your name and the title of the work.

*      Have an ‘X’ or an arrow marked/sewn on the back of work to indicate the top.

*      Be suitable in size, weight for car transport and access through doorways.

*      Be new and original work/s made in the last 18 months.

*      Be priced to include 25% commission for ATASDA NSW
